What I hear I cannot believe
I confuse myself with paradoxical rationales to your lies:
You love me, therefore I must love you back
I must take the stage with a heavy heart and act.
When the show is over and the magic is spent
I hide in a corner, tears falling, back bent.
How can it be that you knew the exact words that were written in this book is my life?
Because I let you write in me, hoping you'll end my loveless strife.
But this way you're not the only liar, I am too.
We both lied to me, afraid to say what was true-
The desperate need for love drove us to blind insanity
So what if my heart pace used to quicken when you talked to me?
My heart is heavy now and the pace is back to where it began
Because no one can love me the way that I am.
