I'm Katlyn, but just to skip the awkward mispronunciations, call me Kate.
I recently broke off my three and a half year love affair with Quizilla.
Just to spite it I'm with Mibba now.
I spend entirely too much time writing and not enough focused on school, but who needs to graduate when you've got amazing books and Microsoft Word?
As much as I love writing, music always comes first, it's just how life is.
I could never corner my musical interests to just one genre since it spans as far as My Chem and The Academy Is... to Sigur Ros and Oren Lavie, and to the extent of movie scores.
Some of them are good to blast loudly in the car and sing badly to, while others are best for writing.
Still, I try to keep an open mind about music and other people's music.
That isn't universal since I have a vendetta against a couple bands.
*cough* Boys Like Girls, The Starting Line, The Rocket Summer *cough*
They're justified too.
I enjoy Twilight, but not to the point of screaming after the actors or indulging myself in every bit of them I can get my greedy hands on, more along the lines of admiring their acting abilities (or the lack thereof).
That's pretty much my approach to anything cult, famous, or popular.
I'm a straight-edge, I don't party, and I don't sneak out or rebel so I know I'm weird; I take it as a compliment.
Word of advice though, that kind of lifestyle gets you more from your parents than just their respect, it's how I get to go to so many shows and live without a curfew.
I love going to shows and as much as I hate Houston I'm thankful I live in a city where almost all my favorite bands visit.
I've seen all of them live in one form or another, though it doesn't hurt that Patrick Stump's girlfriend supposedly lived in Houston or my friend's dad is the owner of a popular venue in town.
