About
First and most important: I am a transplant to the Midwest from Jersey. Any and all questions regarding that may or may not be answered, depending on my mood.
Second: I recently discovered that I am, possibly, the oldest Mibbian (sorry, Lee and Elena). But I feel I am no less cool for that fact. I should probably not be proud of this fact, cos IT MEANS I'M OLD, but since I look and feel younger, I'm good with it. Again, questions regarding this fact may or may not receive a response.
Third: Yes, in answer to my most-frequently-asked question, I *am* a mom. And I do love My Chem, they are amazing. I used to listen to Black Parade just about every day at work. It was therapy at a tough time.
My daughter and I got to share the experience when we saw MCR on March 1, 2007...and EVERYONE (including Frank and Mikey) was there. It was a great show! We also had a terrific time at the show in Chicago on April 17,2008, where we met up with a dear mibba buddy at long last. We were also priviledged at that same show to meet up with an INO buddy; and yet ANOTHER INO friend met up with us and played tourguide on a recent trip to NYC. Rock on, all!
I left my old office last year. My new job is going well, but in the meantime I have become a SERIOUS Mibba junkie...can't live without it...I keep checking it all the time. Somebody stop me!!
Other bands/artists I like (in the order I thought of them):
Maroon 5
The Cure
The Smiths
Beatles
Otis Redding
Aretha Franklin
U2
Crowded House
Marshall Crenshaw
Peter Himmelman (if you know who he is I'll give you cookies)
I'm having a a LOT of fun on this site, but PLEASE, if you read, COMMENT!!!
Thank you to the EVER-AMAZING Lightning Zap for this layout! I couldn't have done it without you! (And thank God for the absence of blue & orange!!)
Some favorite lyrics:
Over the ramparts you tossed/the scent of your skin and some foreign flowers/tied to a brick, sweet as a song/the years have been short, but the days were long (The Shins)
Sorrow drips into your heart thru a pinhole/like a faucet that leaks, and there is comfort in the sound/and while you debate half-empty or half-full/it slowly rises, your love is gonna drown (Death Cab for Cutie)
My hopes are so high that your kiss might kill me/so won't you kill me, so I die happy/My heart is yours to fill or burst/to break or bury, or wear as jewelry/whichever you prefer (Dashboard Confessional)
Give me a heart to hang on to/Give me a soul that's tailored new/Give me a heart to hang on to (Pete Townsend)
