Thirty three minutes
To the living is not much
But every thirty three minutes
Another life will be touched.
Forty three students
Will die today
Forty three young souls
The Reaper takes away.

That's how many are lost.
Is getting high really worth
Such a devastating cost?
One second is all it takes.
One second to just say "no".
One second to save your life
And tell the Reaper where not to go.
Every thirty three minutes
A student's life will end
The next one could be you
Or it could be a friend.
Thirty three tiny minutes
To the living is not much.
Every 1980 seconds another soul
Is in the Reaper's clutch.
