Octopus

I've been told that i'm wise beyond my years, but i've yet to figure out what that means exactly. I love simple things. I seem to find an elegance in the unusual. I enjoy playing piano while it's raining, the sound drives me crazy. My fingers ache when they aren't touching keys. I'm complex by nature, but waiting for the day that someone finds me simple. I've never believed that i'm better than anyone else, just that I have a better understand of the world at hand. I think, many times over, before I speak. I don't see the world in chaos and despair, but for what it could be. I see potential in everything, even people. That probably explains why i'm so forgiving, although I can hold a grudge for the rest of my life if I want to.
I've been called many things in my life, nicknames and insults alike. But at the end of the day, I can sleep peacefully knowing that i've never been anything but myself. And that's someone you might find worth knowing one day.
