I have a gigantic friend-crush on Ripley.
I'm taking a serious break from writing. I understand this is a selfish act that affects at least one person other than myself but due to unforseen circumstances, that I can't explain without permission from the other side (Which isn't going to happen, lets face it...), I won't be writing for quite a while. My apologies.
My Hero
Gerard Way is my idol. Not because I'm a teenie, but for legitimate reasons…
-He saw terrible things on 9/11. He decided to do something with his life and he did it. And by God did he do it with style.
-He keeps the fans in the loop, and has gone so far as to describe us as his friends.
-He's never lost sight of who he is. He started off as a comic book artist(Breakfast Monkey) and he's still doing it.(Umbrella Academy).
-He once stopped the music during a show because someone had fainted. Only when the girl was safe, and he'd told the rest of the crowd to look out for each other did he let the music start again.
-He's never blasted a fellow musician just for the hell of it.
-He's everything I hope to be.
-He said this: "Hey, girls, you're beautiful. Don't look at those stupid magazines with sticklike models. Eat healthy and exercise. That's all. Don't let anyone tell you you're not good enough. You're good enough, you are too good. Love your family with all your heart and listen to it. You are gorgeous, whether you're a size 4 or 14. It doesn't matter what you look like on the outside, as long as you're a good person, as long as you respect others. I know it's been told hundreds of times before, but it's true. Hey, girls, you are beautiful." and that makes me feel so amazing that someone of his status surrounded by people of a size zero can still see beauty in everyone.
- He fully believes in, and stands by, the plight of the 'misfit'.
By the way, it's no one else’s business or duty to decide who can and can't save someone's life. Open your narrow slits and broaden your mind.
