Summer Daze
A new story.
I have an odd fascination in disorders. I did at one stage in my life go through a disorder known as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, I would always rearrange objects that people placed down on the table or on the ground. I would run away with the object, place it down and took it again and placed it where I thought was best.
I would constantly do that with my books as well, I would read a chapter and never stopped reading until it was an even chapter on an even-numbered page. If the book did not have an even chapter on an even-numbered page I would disown the book before I would read the book. I would even discard the book if the title and author did not have the same amount of letters within them.
I constantly got in trouble at school when it was "Reading Time". The teacher would ask students questions every sentence they read and I would not stop reading until (or I would not read) if the book did not have the forementioned qualities.
As I grew older however, I was sent to a psychiatrist who would always leave out books and told me to pick a book to read. Before I did so however, I put the books in order by size and then I picked a book that I had read before and knew.
I was only cured about three years ago and since then I have not cared about the size, the chapter or page number and I read books that have odd amount of letters from author and title. I still have a slight case of OCD of placing objects where I see fit, but I am glad I can read without caring about the forementioned qualities.
