Light In The Tunnel

Why is it that whenever I write anything here, it always ends up sounding lame, like what you'd say to a little kid? "Hi, kids! I'm Layla, but you can also call me Kitora! I'm a music addict! For a hobby that I hope to make a profession, I write stories! I'm horrible at keeping them updated, so you can just expect me to put it off most of the time! Also, I'm attempting to recover from a bout of self-negativity, and I would succeed, but there are just too many things that I don't like about myself! But what does any of that matter? The world is all rainbows and sunshineys anyway! Let's all hold hands and sing songs about joyness and love together!"

Right. So if you didn't catch that, one of the things I love most is writing. I have about a zillion stories bouncing around inside my head, and all of the characters usually end up related somehow. Seriously. You could ask me, and I'll tell you how all the characters from my stories end up related. The exceptions would be Venom and Fates Entwined, but the others involve characters that are related somehow. Don't ask how there can be characters related on two separate worlds…although I have an explanation for that, too.

The other thing I love the most is music. Sometimes I infuse any story I don't plan to publish with my music, and I've even partially written a fanfiction about one of them. (It's not very well-written, so don't read it if you haven't already. It'll be rewritten eventually.) I have a zillion songs on my iPod, if you round up, and I'm bound to get a zillion more within the next year. I don't have any bands "saving my life" stories, because I'm too lucky for my life to need saving. My own musical talents are somewhat limited, but I can barely play guitar, and I can play handbells. I also play French Horn, and have many band-related rants inside my head from a French Horn's POV. Don't go there.
