(link: to read)Hi, I'm Sacha Lynn (or Elle, if it does ya). I'm a 19 year old college student. I'm a part-time linguist and an amateur photographer. Right now I am a sophomore in Radio/TV journalism, volunteering time at the campus radio station. I'm also a Spanish-speaking juggalette and Dark Tower junkie. I love classic cars--they're hott with two T's. My AIM screen name is Casky the Great. Feel free to add me, although I can't guarantee a response. I realize most people use MSN these days, but most of my important people are on AIM.
Until I have time to figure out how to make a layout, thou shalt suffer the Pikachu. And even if you're not suffering, carry on pretending. =P If you want to get a glimpse of my [sort of] daily college life, you can check me out on Twitter. I can't promise it'll be interesting, although.. it's definitely "me." My new profile picture's a little better than my old one, so this one stays until something better comes (ahaha).
My Writing - I write poetry and prose, both fiction and nonfiction; I've been a writer for nine years. I have a self-published collection of poetry at Lulu.com called Maps to Imaginary Places. I have accounts on FictionPress (see handy list below), and got this site's name from a fellow writer at VampireFreaks. I like historical fiction, horror fiction, and general fiction.. but for some reason I write fantasy--fantasy war fiction, to be exact, generally. I like writing about imaginary wars, in imaginary countries, on imaginary planets. Oh yes, and I love to write essays. So here is my Webography:

For hopefully obvious reasons, I won't be putting the ends of my pet projects up on the Internet. I'll probably go up to the second to last section or so before I stop; then you'll have to buy the rest, because I can't be doing this stuff for free. Lol. Seriously, though.
Favorite Books & Authors - The Dark Tower series by Stephen King is what got me into writing. And so, I recommend that you read it. It's inspiring, really, the sheer magnitude of it. The universe King creates is astounding and beautiful and frightening. It's a nice, thick roll of genre that'll give you an amazing high every time you smoke it. So really, read it.
The comic book series based on the Dark Tower, (Gunslinger Born, Long Road Home, and Treachery), is also excellent, and I recommend the hardcover graphic novels published at the end of each limited edition comic series.
Besides Stephen King, I love Shakespeare. Robert Frost and Emily Dickinson are two of my favorite poets, also. I have a soft spot in my heart for S.E. Hinton (The Outsiders author) and Edgar Allan Poe (my dad used to read us his stories/poems by candlelight when the power went out during nighttime thunderstorms).
Favorite Music - Blue October, Streetlight Manifesto, and obviously ICP are some of my favorite bands. I also love Frank Sinatra and some little-known bands like The Romeo Flynns (Youtube them--they're amazing). The band N.E.R.D. has the best name (No one Ever Really Dies), and "Romeo and Juliet" originally by Dire Straits has amazing lyrics--and I love The Killers' cover of it. My favorite song ever performed is "Dueling Banjos."

The Negatives
Stuff I Won't Read - I won't read vampire stories, romance, fanfictions, band fiction, scifi, or run of the mill boring everyday life drama fiction. Vampire stories are almost never well done anymore; I hate romance; most fanfiction is about things I'm not interested in; band fiction is a waste of time to read and write, because you can never publish it; science fiction just isn't my cup of tea; and if I wanted to read about somebody else's teenage drama, I would read someone's blog. Fiction is supposed to be about extraordinary circumstances, it's supposed to take you out of your world and put you in another one. My biggest writing pet peeve (other than online writing communities, which is quickly becoming a big issue for me) is that people just want to read boring adolescent melodrama these days.
And if Stephen King says Stephanie Meyer can't write, that's even more a reason to never read her gag-worthy vampire romance novels, on top of the aforementioned reasons about why I won't read vampire or romance fiction.
Music I Hate - Don't even get me started on screamo and gangster rap. I don't like bluegrass, either, although I'm closer to impartial toward it than I am the aforementioned two genres. Gangster rap gives all rap a bad name, and screaming is to singing as "modern art" is to REAL art (which is to say, they're faux at the very least). And no one will ever change my mind.
Anyway, away from the negativity...

Stuff For You Guys
Here's a Tip, Poets! - If you're a poet, and you're in high school (US or Canada), you should submit poetry to this anthology contest: http://www.poeticpower.com. Three or four of my poems were published in this anthology (called A Celebration of Young Poets); you can submit one entry every period (I think there are 3 or 4 submission periods)--and I know it isn't a scam for your money because I've bought each copy my work has appeared in (each copy is around thirty bucks each) and gotten an actual book. It's a good way to get a publishing credit under your belt! (You know, you need some publication history if you want to get an agent these days!)
For U.S. High School & College Students - FastWeb.com, for scholarships, college/university listings, and internships. Also Scholarships.org has some useful links.
Need Help? This semester I am studying algebra, social psychology, continuity writing, economics, and Spanish.
I have already endured a semester of: biology, media literacy, University Studies, and English (heavy on writing and types of essays). I got A's in all these classes.
And a semester of: information gathering & research, accounting, marketing, psychology, Spanish, and theater appreciation.
This semester I'm taking economics, algebra, social psychology, Spanish 203, and advertising & continuity writing. (So at some point, I'll be able to write a professional-ish ad and press release! woo!)
I can be minimally helpful in any of these areas (except algebra). =D I am an especially good researcher, so if you ever need help finding something--either not knowing where to look, or looking and not finding anything relevant--feel free to hit me up and maybe I can help. =)
Oh yeah, and, this isn't academic, but, I'm also pretty decent at photo manipulation and creation, so if you need some abstract cover art, I might be able to help. And yes, abstract, don't ask me for people. I have to steal people from Google, and you can't use those in the real world anyway. lol.

Come up on different streets, they both were streets of shame,
Both dirty, both mean, yes, and the dream was just the same,
And I dreamed your dream for you, and now your dream is real
How can you look at me as if I was just another one of your deals?
I can be reached by e-mail at { evilandflowers@gmail.com } unless I hate you.Espero que os guste mi pagina y que leáis mis historias y me digáis lo que pensáis de ellas. Gracias!
